Welding Technology is very important for industries especially for welding and related technologies. They have been developed drastically and unique among industries in the field of process technology, materials, design, and nondestructive evaluation which very crucial for Thai industries. The Institute of Scientific and Technological Research and Services (ISTRS), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and Department of Industrial Engineering, Mahidol University recognize the need for development and promoting researches in welding technology, nondestructive evaluation, and maintenance. As a result, the Thailand Welding and Inspection Technology (TWIT) activities have been organized annually. In the year of 2017, the organizers plan to host the activity in the name of “The Symposium of Thailand Welding and Inspection Technology 2017” under the theme: The 4.0 in Welding Processes, Design, Metallurgy and Inspection.
